The EW range of hardware now includes a re-engineered bottom pivot. This allows for up to 8mm of horizontal adjustability with a standard flat blade screwdriver and locks automatically into position every half turn.

For 38mm outward opening doors, built on the concealed floor guide system, the sill is not wide enough to fit a standard Centor dropbolt striker plate. A modified, narrow version of that plate is now available to allow Forte straight dropbolt pins to locate neatly and securely in the sill. The plates are available in polished brass and satin stainless steel.

There is an increasing demand that Centor’s E2 Plus intermediate carriers can be installed either right-hand or left-hand. Centor has responded by slotting its hinges on both ends so the hinges become both handed. The full view of a carrier hinge is only seen when doors are open and stacked, and to some users the ability to have these hinges arranged as either hand is a useful feature. By manufacturing the hinges with two slots, and because carrier pins are removable, the orientation on the pins is a selection that can be made by door makers and installers.

The functionality, appearance and characteristics of the Forte™ and Overture™ units remain unchanged except for one minor detail. The pin travel has been increased while pin lengths remain unchanged. The resulting increase in travel means that the dropbolt is no different to the current version in the locked position. In the unlocked position the effect of this increased travel translates to the pin recessing in to the housing by extra 4mm.

Brushed Metallic finish (X finish) is a close visual match to brushed Stainless Steel hardware. The X finish is a slightly deeper grey in colour than stainless steel, but the angle of inclination to the light source alters the appearance significantly. Viewed when installed on a door the finish is very close.
